Archaeologists working ahead of a highway expansion have uncovered what they believe was a waypoint on an early regional trade route.
The site includes pottery fragments and tool remnants that researchers say span several distinct trading periods.
Construction on that section of the highway has been paused while a more detailed survey is completed.
